Juvaderm risks and side effects
Juvaderm has been making a buzz in the dermal fillers area. Men and women alike are more satisfied in using Juvaderm in comparison to other dermal fillers. But just like with any other drug, risks and side effects are still present with Juvaderm
According to doctors and patients as well, the usual side effects that can be experienced include redness of the area injected by the filler, tenderness and/or swelling, lumps and bumps, bruising and itching, discoloration, and firmness of the area injected. These side effects usually disappear within a week.

But there are more serious risks with Juvaderm especially for those patients who have severe allergies. Serious risks with Juvaderm include reaction of the immune system to the drug which could result to lumps in the skin called as granulomas. These serious risks could be very difficult for doctors to treat, especially if the patients have allergies.
Those also with allergies to bacterial proteins should avoid using Juvaderm. Patients who have history of anaphylaxis or a condition of hypersensitivity allergic reaction are advised not to try Juvaderm because it can present a life threatening situation.
